Severe Erosion Corrected With Crowns And Porcelain Laminate Veneers
The back of this patient\'s front teeth were eroded away probably from acid. This much damage leaves only the brittle enamel on the edges making them very susceptible to chipping. The only solution to repair this problem is with full coverage with porcelain crowns (caps). This improves her smile immensely and will protect the teeth from further erosion. The large spaces next to the canines (eye teeth) were closed with porcelain laminates. They are shaped in such a way to create an optical illusion that they are a normal width when viewed from the front.
